Camino y Despedida is a tribute to migrants, exploring their unspoken struggles and collective homesickness. Through dance, original songs, and live music, Walking Farewells intertwines previous pieces like Agridulce (Bittersweet), Aeropuertos Llenos de Esperanza, and Passportless Butterfly while also introducing new works by emerging artists embracing interdisciplinary connections. This performance delves into the nuanced perspectives of migration, evoking nostalgia, hope, joy, and sorrow. You’ll experience poetic imagery of dancing suitcases, and moments that celebrate both the bittersweet and hopeful aspects of migration.
