Call for Submissions: Vines Art Festival

Deadline: February 7, 2025

Vines Art Festival invite artists of all disciplines interested in creating outdoor site-specific works at local Vancouver parks to apply for the 11th annual edition of the festival.
In addition to performances, they are looking for visual artists to create work that can be temporarily installed in parks.
Site specific work can be in architecture, landscape, history or story.


MODUS OPERANDI AUDITION

When: March 1, 2025 - 230pm-530pm

​​The mission of MO is to nurture unique emergent voices in dance by continuously investigating and investing in a practice-based curriculum that welcomes all the possible ways to dance. MO seeks to remain nimble and responsive to the evolving dance ecology, to provide meaningful facilitation of dancers’ relationship to the form so it is empowered, long-lasting and uniquely theirs. Alumni are celebrated as some of Canada’s most radical and inspired new artists producing, creating and performing in an enormous range of formats, environments and organizations.


OPEN SPACE WITH RALPH ESCAMILLAN

Deadline: Booking requests accepted until end of May 2025

Ralph Escamillan, Associate Artist at The Dance Centre (TDC), is leading OPEN SPACE,
in the 7th floor office/workspace hub as a place for QTBIPOC members of TDC.
Through a series of free book-out spaces to support collaborative meetings, writing support, or other forms of meetings + a space for the makers of the city to sew, build and create their costume needs. These artists' spaces will be prioritized for Queer People of Colour.
